About the Evaluator

Ovais Ahmed is a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey with more than six years of clinical mental health experience, now focused on forensic mental health evaluation and psychological testing. His clinical background spans trauma, anxiety and mood disorders, and severe and persistent mental illness. That experience informs his forensic work in violence-risk assessment, sentencing mitigation, personal injury, and other civil and criminal matters for attorneys, courts, and referring agencies.

He is board certified as a Certified Forensic Mental Health Evaluator (CFMHE) and a Certified Forensic Psychometrist (CFP) through the National Board of Forensic Evaluators (NBFE), a pathway that requires supervised forensic training and examination. The CFP credential certifies competence in administering, scoring, and interpreting psychological tests in forensic and medico-legal settings, including Level C instruments.

Ovais holds a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. He provides forensic evaluations, psychometric testing, record review, and case consultation, and accepts referrals from plaintiff and defense counsel, prosecution, and the courts. His opinions are based solely on the data and are not influenced by which party retains him. All evaluations are conducted independently and objectively, with no prior or concurrent therapeutic relationship with the examinee.
